How soon can I pay after receiving the infringement notice?

 

It can take up to three business days from date of issue for an infringement to be available for online credit card payment

I get a message saying the ticket is not valid and stops me proceeding

If any of the following are true you will receive a message that stops you from proceeding:

·         The infringement or vehicle registration numbers (or both) are incorrect

·         The infringement is not yet in the system therefore not available for payment

·         The infringement has already been paid

·         The infringement has been referred to the courts

What if I have trouble making the payment?

 

 

 

 

·         If you have received your infringement notice within the last three business days it may not be ready for payment online

·         If the website is down then please try again later

·         If you experience browser problems, try closing all your browser windows, start from the beginning and try to make the payment again                                                                                                       Top

What credit card types can I use?

 

 

You can pay with the following credit card types:

·         MasterCard

·         Visa

Will I be charged a convenience fee for using my credit card?

No, you will not be charged a convenience fee to make this payment.

 

What information will I need to pay a parking or bus-lane infringement?

 

You will need:

·         parking or bus-lane infringement number

·         vehicle registration number

·         credit card details

Are the fields case-sensitive?

No, the fields are not case-sensitive which means you don't have to use capital letters

Can I make part payments using my credit card?

 

No, this payment method accepts only full payment of the infringement, therefore part payments are not possible.

Can I pay for more than one infringement in one transaction?

 

No, this payment method accepts only one infringement payment per transaction.  For each infringement a separate payment is required.

Is there a cut off time for paying my infringement online by credit card?

The cut off time is 6.00pm on the 56th day after the ticket was issued. The final date for payment is shown on the infringement notice.

 

Can I pay by credit card if I’ve already received a court notice?

 

No, once the infringement has been referred to the courts it can’t be paid by this method.

I get a security alert asking me whether to trust the website buylineplus.co.nz. What does this mean?

Buylineplus.co.nz is the secure Bank of New Zealand website, which enables them to process your credit card payments on behalf of Manukau City Council

I get a message saying ‘You will be directed to the Bank of New Zealand website in a few seconds…’ What does this mean?

To proceed with your online payment you are being taken into a secure Bank of New Zealand website which enables them to process your credit card payments on behalf of Manukau City Council.

After I pay:

 

·         Will I receive a transaction number?

Yes, after the payment is accepted a page will be displayed containing details of the payment including a transaction number.

We recommend you keep a record of this page, either by printing or saving it.

·         Can I print the receipt page?

Yes, you can print the receipt page by selecting File>Print… from your browser’s menu

·         Can I save the receipt page?

Yes, you can save the receipt page by selecting File>Save as… from your browser’s menu

·         What do I do next?

After printing or saving the receipt page we recommend you close the browser window.

However, you can return to the MCC’s main website by clicking on the MCC button.              

 

·         How do I request a refund? (if I’ve paid twice)

 

You need to contact us asking for a refund. This is required for audit and security purposes.

  • infringement number
  • vehicle registration
  • your contact details
  • a brief description of the issue
  • attention the request to the Financial Transactions Unit                                                                  

·         How long will it take to process my payment?

 

Upon receipt of payment it can take up to three working days to process and remove the infringement balance(s) from your account
